Astronout answers reddit site question from space

A Canadian, Chris Hadfeild, who will assume command of the international space station (ISS) in march, took part in a web chat on Sunday from space. Surprising right?
He appeared on social news site Reddit typing on his laptop some 220 miles away (345km) above earth during the site ask me anything (AMA)session.
Last year the us president also appeared in an AMA chat .
To "beam" his answers down, Mr Hadfield logged on via a satellite relay to a server in Houston, Texas.
"The purpose of all of this is to connect with you and allow you to experience a bit more directly what life is like living aboard an orbiting research vessel,"said Chris Hadfeild"
